Faceted exhibition of one of the 7 best goldsmiths in the world!

With 9 permanent jewelry designers exhibiting at Les Facettes, Vivien Yakopin, Business Developer of the store decided to curate the work of late-Enrico Cirio for two weeks. He is more than just a jeweler, he is an architect and an artist. Isn’t it the same after all?

Towards the end of September 2015, the opening of Les Facettes in Geneva had a great kick off. Presenting a new concept to the Swiss village always eager to new openings and happenings, this time Les Facettes presents a showroom 100% jewelry.

Having 9 permanents collections of an ecclectic selection of jewelry designers drags you to the showroom located on Rue du Rhone. The boutique makes you feel home, confined in a beige velvet pouch admiring the selection of pieces.

Colored stones lover, Michele della Valle, whose jewelry creations are exclusively presented at Les Facettes imagined a star-shaped pair of earrings fully set with diamonds. Yellow on one side, pink on the other and both paved with white diamonds.

GB Enigma does set large stones but plays around with pavés of multi-colored stones including sapphires, diamonds, rubies … The checked ring signs off his DNA.

Mattia Cielo mixes artistic technology with jewelry making within modern pieces that move, transform and strike.

Scavia is all about Italian style full of life and colors. The mandarin garnet ring presented below is a visual example of the delicate craftmanship of the web-like ring mounted with a large central stone.

His now widowed-wife, Anna Novara Cirio – who has a devoted passion about horses more than jewelry lets destiny taking care about the curation of the work of her husband.

The 2 weeks exhibition set up in Geneva occured out of the blue. Vivien Yakopin who is the Business Developement Manager of les Facettes, explains that one day, shortly before Christmas, a friend of hers knocked at the vitrine of the store asking to come in. He pulled out of his pockets a few pieces from Enrico Cirio asking her if she liked the style.

” I love it ! What is it ?” immediately exclaimed Yakopin. She asked about the story of the Torino goldsmith… He mentioned the museum, told her about the career of the late-jeweler who happened to be one of the 7 best goldsmiths in the history and who had the chance to make jewelry for Elisabeth Taylor, Gandhi and heads of states.

The whole exhibition set up occured super fast. Within 2 weeks of time the 33 pieces landed in Geneva for a two weeks exhibition at Les Facettes, Rue du Rhone, 40.
