Inside Christian Dior’s garden with the Granville Collection

Echoeing Dior‘s family house on the Normandy Coat, Granville pays tribute to his village presenting a collection of 12 uniques pieces set with an explosion of colored stones showing sparkles and nuances.

According the creative brain behind all of Dior‘s jewelry collections, Victoire de Castellane chose this year to tell a new story around the rich life of the French designer.

That story goes back to his roots, in Granville – off the Normandy coast where he spent most of his family time playing around in the colorful garden for long summer hours.

Christian Dior knew every single corner of it inventing games and stories as if he were creating his own and transforming the garden leaves in stickers he could glue inside his colorbook. Time has passed, Dior grew up and the leaves faded but Victoire de Castellane brought that memory back by creating Granville, 12 unique pieces capturing the spirit of childish and creative gems.

Deprived of diamonds, the collection is comprised of green beryl, peridot, aquamarine, tanzanite, chrysoberyl, pink tourmaline and rubellite. “They come to life,” she says. The children’s stickers become adult’s toys.  Cut, set and carefully chosen, the stones scream life, energy and colors as if they were candies to be eaten endlessly!
