Jewelry in St Germain des Prés with Mes créateurs joailliers

For the second year in a row, Mes Créateurs Joailliers took place in Paris in heart of Saint Germain des Prés. From Thursday November 19th until the 22nd, Myrtille Mousson founder of the fair, whose wish is too fight for French craftmanships, welcomed 23 jewelry designers to exhibit their French collections.

In 2014, Mes Créateurs joailliers welcomed more than 2000 visitors including Bernard Arnault, CEO of LVMH. Considering last year’s success, Myrtille Mousson, founder and organiser of the event, decided to do it again, with more brands, more visibility and more organisation.

It all started when Myrtille got engaged and started looking for rings. She needed to understand the price, the craftmanship, where was it from, how was it made… She left the production group TBWA she was working for to study stones at the ING (National Institute of Gemmologie). There, she learned the technical aspects of a jewel and got to meet with a variety of jewelry designers. Mousson decided to open her own structure selling and making bespoke pieces.

Mes Créateurs Joailliers is the result of months of canvassing, knocking on the door of dozens of small jewelry companies working in small ateliers with the label « made in France ».  She kept on asking if they would want to be part of a little Parisian fair that would gather jewelry brands, often too small to be heard and seen in the big world.

If last year Myrtille Mousson gathered 15 brands for the first edition, she was able to get 7 more this year.

Each participating brand are jewelry craftmen, with their own identity, producing unique pieces, bespoke and made in France jewerly all mounted on gold or platinum exclusively.

Every year, the wish of Mousson is to put into light one foreign country. Belgium is the chosen one for 2015, welcoming MALAKINE by Catherine Malraux. The delicate interpretation of the bestiary by Malakine is a selection of animals… snake, butterfly, parrot… set with precious stones and colored gems.

The 24 participating brands were dispatched on three levels… Here is the full list: Daniela Baumgartner , Bermudes, Nathalie Bonnemaille , Aude Cambon , Agop Castany , Antoine Chapoutot  , Helène Courtaigne Delalande , Criska , Christine Escher , Tom G., Rosset Gaulejac , In Fine , Veronique Lelieur , Gaby LF, Lisi Lopez , Marc-Alexandre , MW Paris , Anais Rheiner , Eric Schaix , Soligems , Tiber, Renate Traber and Velero.
