Founded by Bruno Bellamich and Carlos Rosillo in 1992, Bell&Ross was created to reinforce missions for men who face extreme situations. The art of fine Swiss watchmaking was built on legibility and water-resistance functionality as well as precision. Working with elite units of the Armed Forces, the brand initially started due to its ‘coup de foudre’ for aviation but has now expanded towards other extreme horizons, among other things such as Formula 1.
Bell&Ross’ story goes beyond the initial watchmaking craftsmanship. Creating an alliance between watchmakers and aeronautical control panel specialists, its principle objective is to satisfy the needs of astronauts, fighter pilots, armed police, special law enforcement and divers to reinforce their missions but also a perpetual partner in crime. In order to meet their expectations, a combination of expertise is needed, combining the know-how of users, designers, engineers and master watchmakers, making the instrument legible, functional, precise and reliable, expressed through timeless elegance.
Based in la Chaux-de-Fonds, Bell&Ross has adapted 5 remarkable timepieces for mechanical sophistication and technical challenges to its users, one being the Hydromax 11 100M, world record for water resistance, or the Vintage 123 Heure Sautante, Jumping Hour with power reserve indicator.
The New BR RS17, first announced at Baselworld this year, went from satisfying the needs of fighter pilots, up to February 2016, where it reflected upon racetracks. Bell&Ross joined the highly exclusive Formula One world, becoming the official watch partner of the Renault Sport Formula One Team. The watch was inspired by the racing world, offering the most innovative materials of the industry. The new model comes in 250 limited edition pieces and has a water resistance of 100 meters. From wheel to the wrist, the combination of Bell&Ross and Renault Sport is a perfect blend for the sports team.
