10 THINGS YOU MISSED LAST WEEK AND YOU SHOULDN’T HAVE #week2

N°1 : IT’S HOT IN MYKONOS

Guess what ? Éléonor spent the evening with George Clooney –

To celebrate the 75th anniversary of the ocean-inspired Seamaster collection, Omega took place in Mykonos with press and its dear ambassadors as :
Naomie Harris, Victor Vescovo, Blair Tuke et Peter Burling and…George Clooney ! During the official dinner, Éléonor had the chance to spend a privileged moment with him. You know what ? George is moving to France with his wife, his kids and a donkey.. and it’s not a joke!
May have asked : why Mykonos ? As simple at it was, it made sense to Omega as for the very origin of its name to go back to its Promise land. The name “Omega” was chosen because of its symbolism. Being the last letter of the Greek alphabet, it signifies ultimate accomplishment, perfection, and achievement. By adopting the name Omega, the brand aimed to convey its pursuit of precision and excellence in watchmaking. The 75th anniversary of the Seamaster collection marks another milestone for the brand. If we go back in history for a sec, in 1894, Louis Brandt’s sons, Louis-Paul and César, took over the family business. Under their leadership, the company underwent significant development and innovations. One of their notable achievements was the introduction of the revolutionary “Omega” Caliber in 1894, which marked the birth of the Omega brand. N°2 : TIMELESS CLASSIC NEVER GET OUT OF STYLE

The new Cartier London New Bond Street

This year, artisans at the Maison have taken its original design one step further to explore the case’s potential whilst honouring the original aesthetic. To bring this watch to life, the artisans opted for a platinum case. True to Cartier watches, the new Cartier Crash displays many of the Maison’s watchmaking codes: Roman numerals, sword-shaped blued-steel hands and a ruby cabochon, set in a beaded crown.
Why do we have an absolute crush on the Crash ?
Not to mention it’s funky shape that makes it so singular, or because of the story about a car accident that completely distorted the original case of the fact that it was inspired by Dali.. all stories that never got verified…is probably why we live it so much. If you pay close attention to detail you will notice that the dial, has remained as faithful as possible to the original 1967 Cartier Crash. The platinum Cartier Crash features a special engraving on the reverse and is adorned by a grey calfskin strap. The new edition will be available from July 2023 exclusively at Cartier New Bond Street, so it’s time to get on the list (if it’s not already too late)..
