NEWS 1. TIFFANY & CO : A TRIBUTE TO JEAN SCHLUMBERGER  

Tiffany & Co. unveiled 3 new watches : Bird on a Rock. In 1956, Jean Schlumberger started his collaboration with the brand : A master at bringing movement and dynamism to his work, he drew his inspiration from the natural world and his family’s textile tradition. Known for the Bird on a Rock brooch, the Cooper bracelet and the Sixteen Stone diamond ring, this summer, the legendary Ve Avenue jeweler pays tribute to this brooch with a trio of Schlumberger by Tiffany & Co Bird watches. Featuring the company’s emblematic motif, crafted here in platinum and 18-carat gold, each Swiss-made watch features more than 3 carats of diamonds on the case and dial.

 NEWS 2. THEA X STONE  : BACK IN STOCK ! 

Marie Poniatowski, creative director of Stone Paris took her inspiration from the cultural and artistic heritage of the Middle Ages to the 21st century to create her iconic modern and feminine jewelry. Emilie Duchêne, creative director of Thea Jewelry is keen to give meaning to her creations through words, notably the one chosen for this collaboration. Together, they launched in April, a “libre” ring (aka free)  set in plated gold and diamonds has quickly sold out, but it’s finally back in stock! Available on the Thea Jewelry and Stone Paris websites – if you’d like to try it on, it’s also available in Stone boutiques: 28 rue Mont Thabor – 60 rue des Saints-Pères

NEWS 3. ORIS UNVEILED A NEW BIG CROWN POINTER DATE 

Launched last week, the Hank Aaron Limited Edition, named after the great humanitarian and baseball Hall-of-Famer Hank Aaron. Aaron never courted the limelight, but his achievements on and off the field meant it always found him. In 1974, he broke Babe Ruth’s near-40-year home-run record.
The watch is based on the Big Crown Pointer Date. We’ve detailed it with blue, red and white to echo the uniform of Hank Aaron, and finished it with a blue leather strap with baseball-glove stitching. It also comes with a blue, red and white NATO strap.

NEWS 4. HAILEY BIEBER ROCKS WITH A PATEK NAUTILUS VINTAGE  

Last week, American model Hailey Bieber wore a tiny vintage Patek Nautilus Ref.. 4700 sourced by Material Good, a luxury concept store located in the heart of Soho in NY, famous for their AP & RM selection but also –  vintage pieces and a cool selection of jewelry designers such as Carolina Bucci or Anita Ko. Here, Hailey Bieber adorned topped her look with a Bottega Veneta Signature drop earrings.

NEWS 5. Kelly Rutherford wears Salomé Rico !

A few days ago, Salomé Rico revealed the latest face of its brand: American actress Kelly Rutherford, who has appeared in Gossip Girl, Melrose Place, Dynasty and many other films… Kat Irlin aka Kat in NYC, Insta-famous photographer has used her strong images to cultivate a following of 1.4 million people across the world photographed this campaign.
Having established a name for herself in the fashion industry and beyond, Kat has worked for some of the top brands and publishers, including Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Calvin Klein, Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Paper and now for Salomé Rico.

NEWS 6. ODACE : DARE TO SHINE DIFFERENTLY 

When the founders César et Manon discovered in 2020, the American laboratory that “grows” diamonds, they decided to create ODACE change to change the jewelry universe.

NEWS 7. GIA EXAMINES ALL-DIAMOND RING CUT FROM SINGLE LAB-GROWN DIAMOND 

The Gemological Institute of America’s New York laboratory recently evaluated a single-crystal all-diamond faceted ring made from a lab-grown diamond.
Produced by Dutch Diamond Technologies in collaboration with Belgian jewelry store Heursel, the 4.04-carat ring was cut from an 8.54-carat lab-grown diamond plate created by using the chemical vapor deposition (CVD) process.
“Although this is not the first ‘ring’ of this type that has been reported, it is the first time GIA has evaluated a ring carved from a single laboratory-grown diamond,” said Tom Moses, executive vice president and chief laboratory and research officer at GIA.

NEWS 9. BREAKING NEWS : ROLEX ACQUIRES BUCHERER ! 
Rolex has announced its acquisition of Bucherer. This acquisition, intended to uphold the strong ties between the two companies, will see Bucherer retaining its name and operating autonomously. However, the final integration into the Rolex group awaits the approval of competition authorities.
With over 100 sales outlets worldwide, 53 of them distributing Rolex and 48 offering Tudor, Bucherer has solidified itself as a key player in the industry.
Earlier in June, Swiss watch retailer Bucherer unveiled its renovated and rebranded 18,848-square-foot boutique, now known as the “TimeDome” in The Forum Shops At Caesars, Las Vegas. This followed Bucherer’s strategic acquisition of Tourneau in 2018, a move that endowed them with a network of 28 stores across 10 US states and a robust e-commerce presence.

NEWS 10 . AUDEMARS PIGUET X MATTHEW WILLIAMS 

Audemars Piguet is delighted unveiled its new collaboration with American designer Matthew Williams, founder of the 1017 ALYX 9SM brand. On this occasion, four new Royal Oak and Royal Oak Offshore references, as well as a one-off Royal Oak.
“This is the first time we’ve dressed the Royal Oak and Royal Oak Offshore simultaneously, and it came about naturally thanks to Matthew’s clean, contemporary design. That’s the beauty of this collaboration: the synergies are such that we’ve taken each other forward.”

In addition to these four models sold in Audemars Piguet boutiques, the designer and the Manufacture have created a unique Royal Oak Chronographe Automatique. This 41 mm model features a two-tone case and bracelet combining 18-carat yellow gold and stainless steel.
The auction of this unique timepiece took place at the launch party for the collaboration between Audemars Piguet and 1017 ALYX 9SM on August 24 in Tokyo. The watch was sold for $1,000,000 ! The funds raised will be donated to projects aimed at supporting the education of underprivileged children through play, notably through the actions of the NGOs Kids in Motion and Right to Play.
