Introduced this spring, the first chapter of the BOTANICA collection consists of 85 exceptional creations that reveal Tiffany & Co’s expertise in fine jewelry. Here are some selected pieces.
Conceived as special events, the Blue Book collections are an unhoped-for opportunity to explore the rich heritage of Tiffany & Co. and extract exceptionnal pieces. Named BOTANICA, the 2022 edition honors the timeless beauty of flora, a source of inspiration for the House since its creation in 1837. “BOTANICA is the ultimate expression of what Tiffany & Co. stands for today. It is about honouring our incredible heritage while innovating for a new generation,” says Alexandre Arnault, Executive Vice President, Product & Communication, Tiffany & Co.
Alternatively abstract or figurative, the creations reinterpret this precious flora in a contemporary spirit, and demonstrate all the savoir-faire of the House’s craftsmen. In this fantasized Garden of Eden, flowers play the leading role. The orchid, of course, whose delicate curves of petals adorn a transformable brooch in platinum and yellow gold, studded with diamonds, whose centre is covered with a magnificent 3-carat diamond. For its part, the humble dandelion is revealed in a new way, in a set of 9 pieces, including a necklace that can be worn five different ways. In the purest tradition of high jewelry, the necklace is easily transformed into two interchangeable pendants, a choker set with baguette-cut diamonds and a long chain of sparkling diamonds. Another feat of the collection is to reproduce the seeded stems of thistles through a hand-set trillion setting. The result is simply stunning, like this necklace with twisted ends combining diamonds, sapphires and pearls.
Among the creations featured in the BOTANICA collection are the sumptuous pieces inspired by Jean Schlumberger. Based on a sketch by the maestro, the Fleurage bracelet is a real eye-catcher, both in terms of the finesse of its execution and the range of stones used. And for good reason, in this bouquet of precious flowers nestles nothing less than an aquamarine of more than 48 carats. This beautiful piece is also available as a brooch, treated in a more contemporary spirit. We love the sharp petal finishes, some of which are covered in yellow gold, which elegantly disrupt the flower. A fine demonstration of the House’s ability to reconcile heritage and innovation.
