The Danish jewelry-maker unveils Lace, its latest delicate-embroidery-inspired jewelry collection. Pieces fashioned like lace, with incredible vintage charm.
Charlotte Lynggaard, the firm’s Artistic Director, drew her inspiration for Lace from childhood memories. Memories of evenings spent watching her grandmother create fine embroidery on cotton and on silk. Ever-so meticulous work which requires technical skills and patience to slowly-but-surely shape highly-complex patterns.
At the end of the 1990s, when Charlotte’s parents settled in Paris, the creator would spend hours on end strolling through Parisian flea markets, admiring their stalls overflowing with lace. Charlotte would hunt around for vintage lace items which would eventually be used to compose the canvas for this collection. For this creator, “embroidery perfectly embodies the incredible patterns we find in nature – a branch curved upwards to the sky, or a host of forget-me-nots blossoming on a ground covered with green leaves.”
Lace breathes new life into this ancestral savoir-faire by applying it to gold. As soon as these floral-infused designs kiss the skin, they impart their unique grace and lay open their sensuality. These diamond-topped jewelry pieces diffuse an elegantly-delicate light, like sunrays weaving their way through openworked embroidered patterns. A collection with undeniable charm, a harmony of romanticism and sensuality.
