Ralph Masri

He is a Lebanese jewelry prodigy aged under 30. Ralph Masri has always been crazy about shapes and colored gemstones, but has not always been destined to become a jeweler. With three collections and two awards, the designer’s success was obviously a question of fate.

Ralph Masri had already made a name for himself in his early 20s. The young man, was originally born in Beirut in 1989 from jeweler’ s parents, but grew up in Canada, France and England. Although he never showed a great interest in jewelry, he still won the Swarovski Award at the age of 18, a prize which enabled him to work for the crystal giant for a year. Is it arrogance, or just talent? During his second year at the Central Saint Martin School of London, Ralph Masri became the youngest student ever be nominated to the UK Jewellery Award. A prize that pushed him to found his own label. While preserving the identity of costume jewelry that had always fascinated him, he launched his first jewelry collection in 2013. Drawing inspiration from his obsessive love of architecture, shapes and colored stones, Ralph Masri developed three conceptual pillars through three modern jewelry collections, rounded off with a pinch of art-deco style. He found ideas while reading the ancient Phocaean Alphabet, and used them to design graphic earrings set with diamonds. The linear shapes of stained-glass cathedral windows can be seen in his Fenêtres Sacréescollection, in which he blends baguette-cut rubies set into yellow gold. And his Décorations Arabesques collection reflects his vision of Middle-Eastern architecture, which he reinterprets to showcase pure geometry and dedicated expertise.
