It took Van Cleef and Arpels more than 5 decades to gather over 1400 carats of emerald in order to create a high jewelry collection dedicated to the precious stone. Emeraude en Majesté comes to light early July of 2016 during the Parisian Couture Week, a collection comprised of more than 50 pieces set with emeralds from Colombia to Zambia. Each stone is set in a design created specially for it to put into light the character of the stone. From its intense shades to its particular shapes, the VC&A emeralds are presented in a variety of forms.
As a major piece, the Grand Opus Set is made of white gold with round, baguette-cut and princess-cut diamonds, buff-topped square-cut emeralds, white cultured pearls, 3 carved emeralds weighting 127.88 carats from Colombia. The set comprises of transformable necklace, earrings and clip with detachable pendants. As pictured below, the entire collection is a mine of beauty not many jewelry houses have managed to create.
