A great name from the past has dusted itself off and re-emerged on the haute joaillerie as heiresses Tatiana and Sarah Fabergé reinvent the legendary brand from Russia. Retaining its bespoke exclusivity, the new creations of the house will be available online through the company’s website and your very own standalone The Eye of Jewelry Pop-Up Store in Geneva. Intricate jewel-encrusted pieces with a strong marine theme, featuring hundreds of colored gemstones, set pavé-style for a shimmering mosaic effect will present buyers with the opportunity to obtain a piece of the regal glamour of the Russian Tsarinas.
Past inspiration breathes life into modern relevance
Many things can be said of Russian jewelry house Fabergé and none of them will be enough to paint in detail the historical significance, multi-faceted beauty and craftsmanship extraordinaire. After decades of forced silence, the sleeping beauty is awakened to bestow on the world one of its most emblematic collections with a strong marine theme – reminiscent of the undercurrents that have moved and shaped the tumultuous history of the brand.
Designed by famed Parisian artist-jeweler Frederic Zaavy in collaboration with creative director Katharina Flohr, the newest Fabergé collection lived to see the light of day through the arduous labor of Tatiana and Sarah Fabergé, great-great-granddaughters of the company’s original founder Gustav Fabergé. In keeping with the original traditions of opulence and exuberance of materials that made the brand’s creations fit for the Russian royal court – we are delighted to see more of the well-known lavish designs and elaborate gem-encrusted jewels.
Restoring the unsurpassed standards of design and workmanship that characterized the original treasures of the brand, the new 100-piece collection comprises a strong marine theme and lavish designs across earrings, bracelets, and rings befitting of royalty. A remarkably fresh and delightful addition are the bijou egg pendants, twelve in all, with designs drawing inspiration from the Imperial eggs themselves.
