Back in November 2015, Fabergé won the GPHG (Grand Prix de l’Horlogerie) in Geneva – which is technically the Oscars for watches for their flabbergasting piece the Lady Fabergé Peacock. Due to the deserved success of the piece – they came with different colors options. Have you seen them ?
A few months back, we published an article about the Lady Compliquée right after winning the prize for the best mechanical women’s watch : a well-deserved prize !
To refresh the memory, Fabergé first launched Lady Compliquée Peacock with a platinum case of a 38 mm diameter with a 50 hours power reserve. What seems to be a simple mechanism is a very complicated one and was imagined then developed by talented watchmaker Jean-Marc Wiederrecht. The hours are indicated at 2 o’clock with with each number scrolling down hour after hour and minutes are featured with a retrograde system complimented by multiple display elements. 54 brilliant cut diamonds worth 1.83 carats are set on the bezel and the dial has a snowset pavage with diamonds, tsavorites (green) and paraiba tourmalines (blue).
Presented in Baselworld this year, the new versions of the Lady Compliquée Peacock come in Emerald, Rubies or black diamonds. No more excuse can be found – each woman now has her favorite !
