Olivier and Guilhem Faivre d’Arcier, two mythology lovers and the inspirational duo at the helm of PERSTA, drew their inspiration for this superb piece from the legend of the Hanging Gardens of Babylon. An edifice of luxuriant greenery which apparently was built by King Nebuchadnezzar out of love for his Median wife Queen Amytis. The hexagonal patterns topped with mother-of-pearl allude to the baroque-style walls whilst the intensity of the over 39-carat amethyst instantly takes us on a tour through woodland paths. Myth or reality? A uniquely creative interlude, where PERSTA breathes life into the legend of Babylon.
