Slightly hypnotising, sometimes nerve-racking but always surprising, the Perrelet Turbine XS with diamonds is an appeal for a woman to distinguish herself.
Long made for men with the winding turbine a direct allusion to the world of aviation (not much of a feminine world), Perrelet decided to womanize their piece adding two feminine components without equal: white and diamonds.
Claimed to be the inventor of the automatic watch, Perrelet has over the years, established its reputation with another signature: the double rotor.
As mentioned earlier, the Turbine model made by Perrelet was originally for men. The double rotor (the oscillating mass enabling a mechanism that automatically wind the mainspring) triggers fascination because of the constant movement of the upper rotor but also admiration with an under-dial set with sunrays set with diamonds.
The feminine version of the Perrelet XS Turbine has a 41 mm diameter case made of stainless steel with 72 diamonds and a 42 hours power-reserve.
The see-through case-back shows the white turbine with 12 blades spinning around the dial. The upper rotor enables to see the diamonds on the sub-dial with the only movement of the wrist.
Last but not least, it is a mechanical watch with automatic winding and in-house P-331 caliber.
