Alexia Demblum got her inspiration from the pieces she found in her old velvet boxes. Her grandmother loved to wear Mano Figa.
The amuleti is her own interpretation of this ancient symbol representing the women genitalia (mano- fica)that exists since thousands of years. Worn as a charm against evil and misfortune, it was believed that the obscenity of the gesture would distract Satan from his quest to conquer the soul. She added the snake to represent the temptation.
